Reports of H1N1 Vaccine Causing Miscarriages in the USA

Comment: I am re-posting this for the benefit of pregnant women in Canada who may not be aware of the issues that have arisen in the USA since the vax was rolled out there. It should be noted that there are different H1N1 vaccines being used in various parts of the USA (different manufacturers, and they also have a nasal spray which is not available in Canada). The GSK vaccine offered in Canada is somewhat different again, but most of the same ingredients are being used. Canada has, however, also purchased a non-adjuvanted vax (without squalene) for pregnant mothers. It has been reported that this vaccine has 10 times more mercury (Thimerosal) than the regular adjuvanted vaccine.

Some Pregnant Women Fearful of H1N1 Vaccine

Miscarriage / Pregnancy Loss Blog

By Krissi Danielsson, Guide to Miscarriage / Pregnancy Loss
Tuesday September 29, 2009

An article in Minneapolis Star Tribune reports on how some pregnant women are skeptical of the new H1N1 vaccine. Pregnant women are among the groups strongly advised to get the vaccine, but many women are less than thrilled about the idea of getting the shot, reporting concerns about the safety of the vaccine and possible effects for the unborn baby.
I can definitely see where they are coming from, being someone who was concerned about safety of pretty much everything when I was pregnant. And there’s not much research on the safety of any type of flu vaccine during the first trimester, much less thimerosal exposure in the first trimester, although the CDC says that flu vaccination is advisable in any trimester during a pandemic. Still, there are definite risks to catching the flu during pregnancy also — and pregnant women seem to be at higher risk of having severe complications (including death) from H1N1 flu in particular. As with most cases, all you can really do is weigh the risks and benefits of both courses of action and discuss your concerns with your doctor — then make an informed choice on how to proceed.
What are your thoughts? Do you plan to get the H1N1 flu vaccine, especially if you are currently pregnant or hope to become pregnant in the near future? Vote here.

I got both vaccines on Thursday. I was 9 weeks pregnant. I miscarried on Sunday. I was told by several doctors to get these vaccines. Now I wish I followed my gut feeling and not get them at ALL!

I was so ready to get the H1N1 vaccine last week and they were only giving them to pregnant women. I was 6 weeks along and got it and the next day I started cramping and miscarried. I already had two healthy pregnancies and never miscarried or had any problems. My doctors think I am crazy to think it was the H1N1 but if no one looks into this than other women will not know. I am so sorry that I got it.

(8) Connie says:
I also received the H1N1 vaccination on October 22nd, 2009 and went into labor on October 25th, at 16 weeks pregnant and we just heard the heartbeat and everything was fine with my pregnancy on October 16th, 2009, then on October 28th my water broke then on October 29th, I delivered a stillborn baby boy, and no one can tell me why…Everyone wants to say it did not come from the shot but I believe it did. My baby was growing at the correct pace and everyone wants to brush off the vaccination. I say if you have the vaccination and suffer a miscarriage if they are able to perform an autopsy have it done.

I also agree something needs to be done and looked more into with this vaccination because most women are being advised it’s just something that happens, but I also had two healthy children normal pregnancies and when I received this vaccination with my third pregnancy, my baby is gone. (10) sioux falls, south dakota says:
I received the H1N1 vaccine on October 16th and started experiencing cramping on the 22nd. I was nearly 17 weeks pregnant and gave birth to a stillborn baby boy on the 23rd. Like many of the other women here, the first thing I suspected was the H1N1 vaccine. I immediately asked a nurse at the hospital if that would have anything to do with it. Without hesitation, she told me “absolutely not.” I had reservations about getting the vaccine, but followed the advice of my long trusted family doctor. In a follow up appointment with my doctor 3 days after I lost my baby, I asked him if the vaccine would have had any adverse effects on my baby. He also said that it was not possible. I don’t believe that my doctor was necessarily lying to me, he was simply following the accepted practices and opinions of his field. I do, however, believe that as a nation, we are being lied to. This vaccine is NOT safe during pregnancy. There has not been enough testing done to determine this and there are far too many “coincidences” for this to be anything but a result of a vaccine that was hastily pushed into production and distribution in an effort to stop widespread panic. I have read so many stories in defense of the vaccine that will talk about how common miscarriages are, but I would challenge you to ask ANY health care professional how common second trimester miscarriages are. My baby was doing perfect developmentally and I had felt him move earlier that day. My heart goes out to all of you out there who have had to go through the same heartache and loss that I have had in the last couple of weeks. There is no reason that any woman or family should have to go through this. Get the word out to all of the pregnant women that you know. I know that if I had heard that women had been losing their babies shortly after they received the vaccine, I would have followed my gut and not gotten it myself. Maybe then Wyatt would have had a chance at life.

If you read the novatis or baxter pkg insert available on the web you will find that 1. there is not sufficient testing on pregnant women so they dont know how safe it is….its not recommended for children under 2 is not a fetus a child under 2? there is no conclusion on safety with breastfeeding….. Md’s just want to scare the hell out of you for the 1% that can get very sick..If folks would just wash hands frequently, stay away from sick contacts as much as possible and take supplements and live a healthy way…you likely can avoid the flu altogether… SOOOOO Sorry for your losses….my <3 breaks for you all

I think there is definitely a link between miscarriage and the vaccine. I also recently learned that mercury toxicity is a contributing factor in heart disease. Heart disease kills over 1/3 of Canadians that die each year. The flu vaccine and h1n1 vaccines both have mercury. Those people who have a flu shot every year must be building up mercury in their bodies every year. One day, they will have real problems. My father-in-law gets a flu shot every year and has major memory problems. I don’t trust the government with my health at all. I take 1000 mg of vitamin D every day and 2000 mg if I’m sick. We don’t get enough sunshine in Canada during flu season to make our own. That’s why we get sick. I also try to stay away from sugar. I heard that 1 tsp. of sugar suppresses your immune system for 6 hours! Supplements to help boost your immune system is key. Most of the h1n1 deaths occurred because the person had a pre-existing condition and their immune system was compromised. In my opinion, we need to strenthen our immune systems with nutrients and not tax them with additional pharmaceuticals. My two cents

    take care of your family,

one can use coriander and garlic to detoxify the system from mercury.

I am from Toronto, Canada. I had the H1n1 non adjuvanated vaccine on Tuesday Nov 10 when I was 4 1/2 weeks pregnant. On Wednesday, i started spotting and on Thursday I was bleeding heavily. I have lost my baby. I know in my heart the vaccine is to blame because I do not have a history of miscarriages, and I have had 2 full term pregnancies. What I am most concerned with now is, is there a chance I could be infertile? As I understand not even that is known to be a side effect of the vaccine. I want answers. I want an apology from the Canadian government for the loss I have suffered because they recommended all high risk people get vaccinated, and I followed their instruction. Where do I go from here?

Dear Sandy, we are very sorry to hear this and we share in your loss.

Thank you, however, for sharing this sad and tragic news with us, and with other Canadians, who all NEED to know this. We know the government and media will try to bury or diminish cases such as yours, so we need as many other victims as possible to come forward with their stories and experiences. Hopefully, through sharing, we can prevent many more from becoming victims of this H1N1 vaccine madness, and can also facilitate some form of legal action.

Sincere condolences from everyone at CHF.

First off, my sympathy to you and your family in your loss.

Re. how your future fertility will be affected and potential health repercussions for future offspring, it’s hard to know. Vaccine inserts commonly state that it is unknown whether the vaccine in question could impair fertility… and since the H1N1 shot contained polysorbate which has been implicated in malfunctioning reproductive health in animals, this could also be a cause for concern. Then there’s the issue of potential health risks posed to future offspring via the thimerosal you were exposed to. (Don’t believe the rubbish peddled comparing vaccination with eating a tuna sandwich… ingestion and injection are two entirely different processes) I would encourage you to read whatever you can written by Russell Blaylock MD and Neurosurgeon on this and related matters. (Also, in regards to thimerosal etc. google what researchers Dr. Boyd Haley and Dr. Mark Geier have to say.)

I would further encourage you to research various options to optimize your own health. For example, you may wish to consider consulting an ND well experienced in dealing with heavy metal detoxing etc. She/he may think it wise to consider following some detox and health building protocols before you consider trying for another child. Invariably, it’s up to you to decide what health protocols you may or may not wish to pursue.

Re. your tragic loss, it both breaks my heart and infuriates me that the H1N1 vaccine will take a toll on so many nameless victims. Inevitably, most public health officials are indoctrinated to robotically turn a blind eye, disconnect the dots, and call vaccine deaths and damage a “coincidence”. As for the media, it will be no where on the scene unless the story can be spun, packaged and delivered as being caused by the H1N1 bogeyman flu.

I don’t know how much emotional and physical energy you have to take on the injustice you’ve been dealt, but I would encourage you to contact your MP, your local media – TV, newspaper and radio – and tell them your account and point out that this is happening to too many women within hours or days of vaccination to be conveniently brushed off as a “coincidence”. Be sure to cc this correspondence widely. I would encourage you to return to the clinic where you were administered the shot, and put them on notice that you expect a report to be filed, and you want to know what follow up comes out of it.

The current system of monitoring reactions is a sham – a don’t look, don’t ask, don’t find policy, a rigged game by which vaccine apologists invariably exonerate vaccine damage, and victims rarely receive the compensation due them… ( GSK is being shielded from liability for its H1N1 vaccine) One way that officialdom gets away with manipulating vaccine stats is by ignoring and denying obvious short-term connections, and as far as long term reactions go — forget that, there’s nothing in place to monitor such.

Vaccine victims have to get angry, connect with others and expose the propaganda and deceit peddled via pharma controlled agencies and their media lackies. Please do everything you can to inform other women, phone offices that deal with pregnant women etc. Above all, keep challenging the system! Officialdom needs to be held to account, and you definitely
deserve at the very, very least, an acknowledgement and an apology for the loss you’ve suffered.

      Take care….

Why at 4 1/2 weeks would you get the H1N1 vaccine when it is not recommended for pregnancies under 20 weeks?

“The Society of Obstetrician’s and Gynaecologists of Canada seconded this sentiment, recommending in a news release “that all pregnant women over 20 weeks gestation and those less than 20 weeks with underlying risk conditions be vaccinated against H1N1 as soon as a vaccine is available, whether or not it includes an adjuvant.”

If you have no underlying conditions no pregnant woman should have taken the H1N1 vaccine under 20 weeks!

Its not the vaccine, its the Squalene adjuvant they put in it. Getting injected with Squalene creates anti-squalene antibodies and a fetus needs Squalene, which converts into Cholesterol which provides nutrients for brain development. Without squalene, no cholesterol, thus starving the fetus of these nutrients for brain development. Source: Embryonic Lethality and Defective Neural Tube Closure in Mice Lacking Squalene Synthase
For God’s sakes, the manufactures should at least test this for safety issues in pregnant women. The dots aren’t that hard to connect.

  7. Excellent info! Will tweet to my network!! The vaccinations are not worth it.

I was 5 weeks pregnant when my doctor suggested I get the H1N1 vaccine. I received the shot on a Thursday and was very sore and achy on Friday. I miscarried my baby on Sunday, just 3 days after receiving the shot. This was my first pregnancy and I thought I was doing the best thing for myself and my baby by getting the shot. I will not make another mistake like this again. (Ohio, USA)

    Hi everyone,

I just saw an episod of Jesse Ventura’s Conspiracy theory and saw all this talk on the H1N1 shot and its connection to infertility and miscarriages. I really thought that i was crazy for believing it but I was 6 weeks pregnant (my first pregnancy) and my dr. advised me to get the shot- i had just had a friend who was pregnant and got very ill w/ the flu so i was concerned and i decided to go ahead and get it. The next day i began cramping and bleeding, went to the hospital and i miscarried. I sat here reading all of your stories and my heart really goes out to you. I just cried I’m sick. I’m just wondering if anybody here has since miscarrying been pregnant and if so how did things go?

I have read many of the posts above, and I agree that there may be a link between the H1N1 vaccine and miscarriage. I was 17 weeks pregnant and miscarried right after. Since this was a second trimester loss, the doctors tested my blood for disorders or possible causes and could not find anything. In addition, they found no physical problems with my anatomy nor with the fetus. I strongly believe that the vaccine caused my miscarriage and I send my love and prayers to everyone who has ever experienced a loss. Please take this message as a sign not to get the vaccine while pregnant.

i am 33 weeks pregnant and the last two visits to my obgyn my doctor has recommended that i take the flu shot (h1n1 combined.) This is a doctor i trust very much, but my gut instincts tell me, no it screams at me NO!! i wanted to do research on this and i am really glad i came to this website. I feel so terrible at everyones loss, it pains me even more that they say they should have listened to their gut feeling. That was exactly what i told my doctor after okaying it i said my gut feeling is strong on this and i dont want to regret not listening to it. i also have two members of my family who are immunocompromised due to heart transplant. Doctors are recommending they get flu shots. i know that it was scheduled for immunocompromised people than later cancelled. [edited] I am having difficulty with members of my family wanting me to take the vaccine. any help would be great. websites welcomed on this issue, more research for me.

Editors Note: Your comment is off topic, and we are making a rare exception here. We cannot give any medical advice, however, we urge you (and everyone else) to inform yourself about any and all vaccines, as best as possible. Weigh the risks and make an informed choice. Don’t let anyone guilt you into a decision. Check out the following websites, and some of the others we have listed in the “Useful Links” section on the front page. We hope this helps you!
